Are Violations of the Alcohol-Restricted Status Common?

Interviewer: How often do you see alcohol restricted drivers getting in trouble?

Court Koehler: It happens.  You see it pretty commonly.  There is enough of it around to be concerned.  When people are convicted of a DUI, you don’t see many people get convicted of a second DUI but you do see a lot of people that get convicted of the alcohol-restricted driver violation. I also do encounter driving on a suspended license.

They both entail similar penalties. Of course, any officer that pulls you over is going to see it and they are going to investigate it every time when they discover you are driving under the status.
